Randy Foss – Account Executive – Industrial
With over 30 years in packaging sales, Randy Foss has built a career on custom solutions in corrugated, flexible packaging, and automation. He has served a broad range of industries, including medical, electronics, aerospace, and industrial applications, helping businesses solve packaging challenges while supporting their growth. A Pacific Northwest native and graduate of Western Washington University, Randy brings a customer-focused, creative approach to every project, with a mission to help clients sell more of their products through innovative packaging solutions.
Amanda Salisbury – Field Service Engineer
Amanda Salisbury has worked in the food industry since 2017, after earning an associate degree in Mechatronics and Industrial Automation from Sierra College. She spent three years as a Field Service Engineer with Tomra Sorting and more than five years as a Maintenance Superintendent and Machine Specialist at McCall Farms, a large southern cannery. Prior to her technical career, Amanda earned certifications in early childhood education, which have strengthened her ability to build strong relationships with crews and customers. Her expertise includes troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems, with a strong focus on optical technologies such as RGB, infrared, lasers, and X-ray systems. She currently serves as a customer-focused Field Service Engineer for Summit, supporting customers on Washington’s west side.
Tim Byrd – Field Service Engineer
Bringing a strong background in fabrication, welding, and project management, Tim Byrd joins Summit Packaging as a Field Service Engineer. His expertise spans industries such as food processing, marine construction, and packaging solutions, making him a crucial asset for custom fabrication projects, equipment installations, and technical support. With international training and hands-on experience, Tim is well-equipped to handle complex packaging system implementations and ensure seamless operations for our customers.
Jason Sweem – Application Engineer, Eastern Washington
Based in the Wenatchee Valley, Jason Sweem joins Summit Packaging as an Application Engineer specializing in fresh fruit packaging solutions. With 35 years of experience in the apple, pear, and cherry industries, Jason has designed efficient and space-saving material handling systems for customers across the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Northern California, and Michigan. He is eager to expand his expertise into new solutions and collaborate with customers to develop customized, high-performance packaging solutions.
Trevor Pope – Applications Engineer
Trevor brings nearly 15 years of experience in automation systems across manufacturing, assembly, and consumer packaged goods, with expertise in machine tending, mechanical assembly, conveyance systems, robotic and conventional palletizing, stretch wrapping, and case sealing operations. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Mechatronics, is a certified Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), and is eligible to sit for the Professional Engineer (PE) license exam. His core expertise is in material flow and systems design for the consumer packaged goods sector, with extensive experience delivering end-of-line solutions from case filling through palletizing and trailer loading. As an Application Engineer at Summit Packaging, Trevor supports customers west of the Cascade Range, focusing on automation systems that enhance packaging and production efficiency.
Luke Pederson - Account Executive - SMB
A recent Western Washington University graduate, Luke Pederson joins Summit Packaging as their newest Account Executive. With a strong foundation in market research and customer engagement, he aims to identify new business opportunities and support the sales team’s growth. Luke is excited to use his years of experience in customer service to provide the Pacific Northwest with custom packaging solutions.
